Unstad carried out a large-scale fleet inspection following the Traffic Package 2 transition, establishing a technical baseline that reduced risk and provided a solid foundation for efficient fleet management and maintenance planning.
Unstad delivers complete trolley-car solutions for cable railways and ropeway installations—from concept and engineering to manufacturing, testing, installation, and documentation. The solutions are developed for safe operation in steep and demanding terrain and meet regulatory requirements for safety levels and technical documentation.
The trolley cars are modular and can be adapted to different payloads, speeds, and track gauges, for both passenger transport and heavy material transport. The systems are delivered with an integrated control and monitoring system for logging and supervision, and can be equipped with load monitoring, position and speed sensors, and redundant safety switches.
The delivery includes a complete bogie system with wheels adapted to the geometry of the installation, as well as safety functions such as catch brakes and emergency stop systems sized in accordance with applicable standards and track profile. Electrical and hydraulic components are integrated to suit project requirements and the operating environment.
