Premium upgrade of Type 73

Unstad has developed a holistic concept for upgrading the Premium interior in the Type 73, with the aim of enhancing perceived quality, functionality, and overall coherence within existing technical constraints. The project includes redesign of key interior elements such as seats, tables, and wall surfaces, along with updated materials and color schemes to elevate the premium experience.

In addition, integrated furniture and product solutions were developed to improve space utilization, functionality, and passenger flow—among them a new service and coffee area with a customized machine, integrated elements, and smarter storage. The work was carried out using a system-oriented approach, considering user experience, production, operations, and sustainability as a whole.

The project demonstrates how Unstad combines strategic design, industrial product development, and implementable solutions in complex transport systems.
