What do you do when a coffee machine on a train causes spills – again and again? You find a solution. At Unstad, that doesn't mean lengthy reports or endless meetings – it means quick collaboration, practical insight, and targeted action.

One of our operators had a clear need: protect the area around the coffee machine from spills. Our answer? A custom-designed screen – developed and fitted by our own team, and installed just as quickly as it was drawn.

This is custom work in practice. Not only tailored in shape and function, but created with a deep understanding of how the product is actually used – by people on the move, in an environment that demands both durability and safety.

The process was simple, direct, and effective. Our engineers and industrial designers moved straight from idea to execution – with a measuring tape in one hand and tools in the other. This solution wasn’t outsourced – it was built on-site, in close collaboration, with full ownership from start to finish.

And yes – while our everyday work often involves CAD models, 3D sketches, and calculations, we thrive when we get to work hands-on. When we can step into the workshop, feel the materials, test the fit, and watch the solution take shape – that’s when we know we’re building something that works, not just something that looks good on screen.

When theory meets practice on the shop floor, good things happen. With expertise, teamwork, and a solution-focused mindset, we delivered exactly what the operator needed – without detours.

📸 Take a look behind the scenes – where ideas turn into reality, one practical solution at a time.
