Unstad Academy: Focus on Risk!

As part of our internal learning initiative, Unstad Academy, we recently hosted a course on “Risk Analysis, Management and Assessment”, led by our talented RAMS specialist Malmfrid Kjørri.

Risk is a central theme in many of our projects – whether we’re working on technical solutions, safety approvals, maintenance strategies, or supplier assessments. This course offered insight into how to systematically identify and understand risk, and how to actively use this knowledge to make better decisions.

The training covered key principles of risk management, including methods for risk identification, probability and consequence assessments, barrier thinking, and mitigation measures. With practical examples from our own work, the team gained valuable tools and a strengthened shared understanding of how we can deliver safer, more robust solutions.

Unstad Academy, established in 2019, has since become a cornerstone of knowledge-sharing, inspiration, and competence-building across the company. It includes everything from short internal workshops to larger gatherings with guest speakers, partners, and clients. The goal is always the same: to learn and grow – together.

We believe that building competence as a team is the best way to meet the demands and opportunities in our industry. When we take time to reflect and grow together, we strengthen not only our skills but also our company culture.
